Other players currently in the camp are Trabzonspor midfielder Ogenyi Onazi, Alex Iwobi of Arsenal, Chippa United’s Daniel Akpeyi and Uche Agbo of Standard Liege, Gent forward Moses Simon, Ola Aina of Hull City and Chidozie Awaziem of Nantes.
With high opes to qualify for the 2018 World Cup if they can defeat Zambia on Saturday.

Super Eagles in Victory Mood

Super Eagles Assistant Coach, Salisu Yusuf, on Thursday said the players were in good mood and ready to conquer Zambia on Saturday in their World Cup qualifying match.

Yusuf told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the Super Eagles were mentally and physically fit to overcome the Chipopolo of Zambia in Uyo.

The coach said that he had absolute confidence in not just his players but their management because they were on top of the cracker between the two countries.

“The Super Eagles are in very positive mood for the game against Zambia on Saturday,’’ Yusuf said.

He appealed for the support of Nigerians, saying it was necessary for the team to be victorious in the match to be played at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, Akwa Ibom.

The Super Eagles are ahead of other teams in Group B with 10 points and are followed by Zambia with seven points.

Nigeria started the World Cup qualification campaign in what many soccer pundits predicted to be the group of death in a blistering form with a defeat 2-1 defeat of Zambia in Ndola to pick their first away win.

NAN reports that Nigeria is on the brink qualifying for the 2018 Mundial in Russia with an emphatic 4-0 win over the African champions, Cameroon in Uyo and the reverse fixture in Yaoundé which ended1-1.

A home victory over Zambia – a side they beat away at the start of the group phase – will be enough to see Nigeria return to the finals after reaching the second round in Brazil in 2014.

Other countries that could all book their spots at next year’s World Cup in the penultimate round of African qualifiers at the weekend are Egypt and Tunisia.

That will leave the other two slots to be decided next month.

Diego Costa Might Be Leaving The Club After The Coach, Antonio Conte Asked Him To Find A New Club.

Chelsea striker Diego Costa has revealed that he is leaving the English champions.
The Telegraph reported today that Costa said on Wednesday night that Coach Antonio Conte has told him to find a new club. Costa, who has been linked with moves to China spoke after Spain’s match against Colombia on Wednesday night.
According to the striker,  Conte had said he had no place in the team’s plans for next season.
“I’m a Chelsea player, but they do not want me there,” Costa said.
“Antonio Conte has told me by message that I do not follow at Chelsea and that’s it. Conte said he did not count on me for next season.”
Costa added: “My relationship with the coach has been bad this season. It’s a shame, I’ve already forwarded the message to Chelsea people to decide.”
“You have to find a team.”
Costa scored 20 goals in 35 appearances as Chelsea won the Premier League last season but rumours regarding his future persisted with reports of him wanting a return to former club Atletico Madrid.
Any move is made more difficult, however, by the fact Atletico have recently had a transfer ban upheld and cannot sign new players until Januray.
“I do not know, it’s complicated, but people know that I love Atletico a lot and that I love to live in Madrid,” Costa said.
“It would be nice to go back, but it’s difficult to be four or five months without playing. It’s a World Cup year and there are many things to think about. I need to play, just that.”
Costa has also been linked with a move to Chinese Super League club Tianjin Quanjian, whose owner said in January that he had tried, unsuccessfully to sign the player.

I Want to Win the Ballon d'Or in England - Hazard.

Despite Messi and Ronaldo's domination in the past 10 years, Chelsea playmaker, Eden Hazard has admitted that he will have one eye on the Ballon d'Or after Chelsea is crowned the Premier League champions. Image result for pictures of eden hazard-

Eden Hazard admits that after Chelsea's expected Premier League title triumph, he will have one eye on the Ballon d'Or.

Should either Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo win again in 2017, the pair will have dominated the award for 10 years, but Hazard believes it can be won by a player in England.

Ahead of Chelsea's clash with West Brom on Friday night, where three points will crown them Premier League champions, live on Sky Sports 1 HD, Hazard told Sky Sports News HQ: "I hope to win the Ballon d'Or one day.

"It's in my mind. If I don't, it won't be a problem. I try to make a good career - the best I can - but I think some other players deserve to win it also.

"When Ronaldo and Messi retire, maybe it will be another couple of players like Neymar, Paulo Dybala or Antoine Griezmann, who knows? We will see. It's not something I think too much about.

"Could I win it? If I play next season, we win the Champions League and I win the World Cup with Belgium, why not?

"In the last 10 years, the Ballon d'Or winners play in Spain, but it's not automatic. If a player is better in England, he will win it."

Hazard narrowly missed out on the PFA Player of the Year award to team-mate N'Golo Kante last week but the winger has been instrumental once again to Chelsea's success.

"We want to celebrate on Friday, then come back to Stamford Bridge and celebrate with the fans," he said.

"We just need to win the game. We all know if we win, we will be champions, so maybe we have a lot of pressure, but we are almost there.

"For me, it's the same (feeling as when we won the title two years ago). The target is always to win trophies. The feeling is always a good one. Two years ago to now, we have one thing in common, which is to win."

Olosunde, the Nigerian-American Wonderkid Playing for Manchester United

Nigerian footballer, Mathew Olosunde is making waves in faraway England as he prepares to impress for his team, Manchester United.

Jose Mourinho surprised English Premier League watchers when he announced some youngsters in the Manchester United team that will play Arsenal at a crucial match at the Emirates today.

One of the boys is Mathew Olosunde, who was signed by United in January 2016 from New York Red Bulls.

According to Manchester United website, the Nigerian- American defender received international clearance to represent the Reds in March.

He was born 7 March 1998 in Trenton, New Jersey, United States. His father is Peter Olosunde, an aircraft engineer, who was born in Nigeria but also studied in the UK. His mother is named Winnie.

Mathew made his debut for the Manchester United Under-18s in a 2-1 home defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion at Altrincham’s J. Davidson Stadium.
An international call-up with USA Under-19s followed as he looks to build his reputation as a powerful performer either in the middle or at full-back.

“He’s one that’s been ongoing for a while,” confirmed Head of Academy Nicky Butt to Inside United.

“With the clearance, it took a while, but we’ve got him and he played his first game on Friday night. He’s a good player, a nice lad and a really good athlete. Hopefully, we’ll see a lot from him in the coming years because he’s someone we’re really excited about.”

Olosunde was on the bench for the final Under-21 game of the season at Chelsea and made four starts in total at Under-18 level.

According to The Mirror of London, The United States youth international’s promotion caps a memorable month for Olosunde after he scored a fine solo goal in the academy’s Dallas Cup victory over Real Salt Lake last month.

His strike was among the nominations for United’s Goal of the Month award for April and Olosunde has defied the Reserves’ hindrances to enjoy a decent start to his career with the club.

Standing at 6ft 1ins, Olosunde started his career as a right winger before developing into a defender.

Olosunde’s route to United was not conventional, wrote The Mirror.

He quit New York Red Bulls to go to college and was named as one of Duke University’s six new recruits ahead of last season.

Duke head coach John Kerr said last year: “Matthew is a fantastic player who is comfortable playing in the back or in midfield. He has wicked pace and has incredible defensive recovery speed.”

“He has great one vs one instincts on both sides of the ball and will help us right away in a number of positions.”

His former mentor Kerr compared Olosunde to Dani Alves.

Olosunde has started 14 games for the Under-23s this season, scoring one and creating four.

Peter Olusunde has always been amazed about his son’s footballing skills. Here is what Soccer America, YouthSoccerInsider wroted about him last year March:

“Peter says he noticed from young age that Matthew’s goal was to play for the USA — Matthew’s computer password referenced the U.S. national team. And from the Red Bull he was invited to the U.S. U-17 national team Residency Program in Bradenton, Florida. Olosunde, an outside back, started in all six qualifying games for the 2015 U-17 World Cup, after which he considered offers from Duke University, the Red Bulls, Brighton & Hove Albion and Manchester United.

“Peter, an aircraft engineer who was born in Nigeria and educated in the United Kingdom, had always planned for Mathew to go to college. But Manchester United promised to set up Oxford University online courses for Matthew.

“That made the decision much easier,” says Peter.

Liverpool's Season Is Not Yet Over: Says Klopp

Liverpool’s Season Is Not Over: says Klopp — Jurgen Klopp insists Liverpool’s season is not yet over after they played a goalless draw against Southampton. Liverpool’s top four hopes is hanging by the ropes, they have two matches left to play against West Ham and Middlesbrough. However, Klopp remain adamant his team will not give up in their bid to qualify for next season’s Champions League. “It was good enough to win, but it was a difficult game,” he said after the full-time whistle. “Southampton played really unlike them, they came here looking for a point, so I am fine with how we defended over the 90 minutes because they did not create anything other than one or two counterattacks. “We had a hard job to do playing against 10 deep-defending players. We had our moments, but you need a bit of luck. We should have done, of course, a few things better. “It’s a point more. It doesn’t feel in this moment like a point more, but it is. Now we’re 70 (points), and if anybody thinks our season is finished… “Two weeks ago we didn’t have it in our own hands, last week we had it in our own hands, now we don’t, that’s obviously not too clear.”

Goalkeeper who allegedly killed his girlfriend and fed her to his dogs, signs for new club

A Brazilian goalkeeper, Bruno Fernandes de Souza, 32, who ordered his girlfriend’s murder before he fed her body to his dog has signed for a new club after serving just seven years in jail.

It is reported now that Bruno has been handed a two-year contract by second tier Brazilian side Boa Esporte –  a move that has caused uproar in the country.

Fernandes, known in Brazil as Bruno, was only recently released from prison after serving seven years of a 22-year sentence following the 2010 murder.

He was tipped for the top when he was playing for leading side and five-time league winners Flamengo, before his arrest in August 2010.

The 6ft 3ins shot-stopper was the main suspect in the murder of his former girlfriend Eliza Samudio, who he met at a footballers’ party in 2009, and with whom he had a son.

The former Flamengo captain is said to have wanted his ex-partner dead so he could avoid paying child support after she gave birth to his love child.

Police believed Bruno planned her abduction and murder with eight others, including his wife Dayane, another ex-lover, a younger cousin and a former policeman turned hitman Luiz Santos.
